1. Who you are buying from
These terms are between you and OnTime Turnaround (“we”, “us”, “our”), who operate ontimeturn.com and publish the OnTime Turnaround desktop application.
Reach us at support@ontimeturn.com for anything about your order, and data@ontimeturn.com for anything about your data.
By buying or using OnTime Turnaround you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not buy it — and if you already have, section 8 tells you how to get your money back.
2. What you are buying
OnTime Turnaround is a one-time purchase of a licence to use the desktop application and the online services it depends on. You are not buying the software itself, and you are not buying a subscription — there is no recurring charge.
It is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It is entertainment software. It is not a flight planning tool, not a training aid, and must never be used for real aviation of any kind.
3. Your licence
When your purchase completes we issue you a licence key, tied to your account. That key gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:
- install and run OnTime Turnaround on any computer you personally use;
- use it for your own private, non-commercial flight simulation; and
- stream, record and publish video of it, including monetised video — we positively encourage this.
One licence covers one person. Install it on your desktop and your laptop by all means. Sharing it with another person is not covered.
A licence key can only ever be activated on one account. Once it has been claimed it cannot be moved, re-used, or activated a second time — so do not buy a key second-hand, and do not post yours anywhere public.
4. What the licence does not allow
You may not:
- sell, rent, sub-licence, lend or give away your licence key or account;
- share your account so that more than one person uses the product on a single licence;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent that law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- remove or work around the licensing, or use a key you did not obtain from us or from an authorised seller;
- submit false flight data to our servers, or use automated means to manipulate points, leaderboards or the live map; or
- redistribute the installer, in whole or in part.
If a licence is used in breach of this section we may revoke it. Where we do so because of clear abuse, no refund is due.
5. What you need to run it
OnTime Turnaround needs Windows, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and FSUIPC7 installed and running. The full list is on the store page and it is your responsibility to check it before you buy.
We do not supply Microsoft Flight Simulator or FSUIPC, and we cannot support problems that turn out to be with them, with your simulator installation, or with other add-ons.
That said — if it will not work for you and you have given us a fair chance to help, read section 9. We would rather refund you than have you stuck with something you cannot run.
6. Price and payment
The price is the one shown on the store page at the moment you order. Prices include VAT where it applies, and any VAT due is calculated at checkout based on the country you give.
Payment is taken by Stripe on their own secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.
We may change the price at any time, and we may run discounts and launch offers. A later price change does not entitle you to a refund of the difference.
7. Delivery
Delivery is immediate and electronic. As soon as your payment clears we issue your licence key and unlock the installer. You will find both on your dashboard and on your licence page, and we email the key to you as well.
If your key has not appeared within an hour of paying, email support@ontimeturn.com with the address you used and we will sort it out.
8. Cancelling — your 14-day right
If you are a consumer in the UK or the European Union, you normally have 14 days from the day you buy digital content to change your mind and cancel, without giving a reason.
There is an exception, and it applies here. Because we deliver the download immediately, we ask you to confirm at checkout that you want it straight away and that you accept you will lose the right to cancel once it starts. The wording you will see is:
“I want my download to start straight away, and I understand that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once it does.”
Once you have agreed to that and the download has been made available to you, the 14-day cancellation right no longer applies. This is what the law allows, and it is the trade-off for getting the product the second you pay for it.
If you do not want to give that up, do not tick it — email support@ontimeturn.com instead and we will hold your download for 14 days so you keep the full cancellation right.
If you preordered before release, your 14 days run from the day the download is first made available to you.
To cancel where the right still applies, email support@ontimeturn.com with your order details. We will refund you in full, by the method you paid with, within 14 days of being told.
9. Refunds outside the cancellation period
Losing the statutory cancellation right does not remove your other legal rights. If the product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose we sold it for, you are entitled to a remedy — and that is the law, not our goodwill.
So, plainly:
- It does not work and we cannot fix it. Full refund. Give us a fair chance to help first, but if we cannot get you flying, you get your money back.
- It is not what the store page said it was. Full refund.
- You bought it twice, or bought it by mistake and have not used it. Full refund, no argument.
- You have used it for months and changed your mind. No refund.
- Your licence was revoked for abuse under section 4. No refund.
Refund requests go to support@ontimeturn.com. We aim to respond within 5 working days. A refunded licence is revoked.
10. Updates, online features and availability
Your purchase includes the updates we release for OnTime Turnaround. We do not promise any particular feature, on any particular date. The roadmap is what we intend to build, not a contractual commitment.
Some features — the live map, points, leaderboards, groups, licence checks — need our servers. We will make a fair effort to keep them running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may take them down for maintenance.
If we ever have to shut the online services down permanently, we will give reasonable notice and do what we can to leave the desktop app usable on its own.
11. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your account details to yourself, and for what happens under your account. Choose a password you do not use anywhere else.
Remember that your username and your flying appear publicly on the live map while you fly — section 3 of our privacy notice explains exactly what is visible.
Pick a username you would be happy to see on a leaderboard. We may change or suspend accounts using names that are offensive, impersonate somebody, or are designed to mislead.
You may close your account at any time by emailing data@ontimeturn.com.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, for loss of data on your own machine, for damage caused by other software, or for any business loss — this is a consumer product for private use.
Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that law does not allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything on this page.
13. Third parties and affiliation
OnTime Turnaround is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Asobo Studio, SimBrief, Navigraph, FSUIPC or Pete Dowson. All trademarks belong to their owners.
The product relies on third-party services, including SimBrief for flight plans and FSUIPC for simulator data. If one of those changes or stops working, features that depend on it may stop working too. We will adapt where we reasonably can.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought. Changes are never applied retrospectively to a purchase you have already made.
If we change the terms in a way that materially affects existing customers, we will email you before it takes effect.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and disputes may be brought before the courts of Ireland.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
Talk to us first. Almost everything is quicker to fix by email than by anything else: support@ontimeturn.com.
